Veena Malik wants more middle fingers!

Pakistani starlet Veena Malik seems to have courted many controversies ever since she made her appearance on Indian TV in 2010. The actress from across the border was recently accused of assaulting her co-star Vedita Pratap while shooting for her Bollywood film ‘Mumbai 125 kms’. And that seems to have got the better of her.

To vent out her frustration, Veena took to Twitter and wrote, “Dnt hve enuf words to express my feelings 4 some pple........ I wish I had more middle fingers!!!(sic).

Looks like the actress is mighty peeved with the way things took shape in the recent past. Not too long ago, Veena was embroiled in a nude photo shoot controversy that reportedly led her father to disown her. He had apparently asked the Muslim clerics in Pakistan to take severe action against his daughter for shaming him.

To de-stress and get rid of all the anxiety, the lady shopped like crazy yesterday. Talking about her passion for shopping sprees, Veena wrote, “I`m stressed...I shop! I`m happy...I shop! I have nothing to do...I shop!I have something to do...I shop!!!(sic).

“I go shopping other stuff but end up buying more shoes... Some Addition to my shoe store!!!(sic),” she added.

Veena Malik gets death threats in Pakistan nude cover shoot row

The Pakistani actor at the centre of a controversy over a "nude" picture on the cover of an Indian magazine has hit out at the "stone age" attitudes that have seen her plagued by threats and condemnation.

Veena Malik appeared on the cover of the Indian edition of FHM magazine apparently adorned with nothing but a tattoo that reads ISI – the initials of the military's feared spy agency.

She claims the magazine airbrushed out the thong she was wearing. But her appearance has led to accusations that she has betrayed her country; her father has disowned her, and she has received death threats, in a country where Islamist extremists are a genuine danger.

Even the military establishment has got involved. The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is blamed in India for sponsoring terrorism.

A text message sent to local journalists from the Pakistani military's public relations machinery complained that the affair was "the height of humiliation for Pakistan, done by a Pakistani on Indian soil".

In an emotional interview with the Guardian from Mumbai, where she is working on three films, Malik said that despite the threats, she was not scared and would return to Pakistan.

"The things I have done in life, I have the guts to stand by. This is my body; this is my life," she said. "This is my body, and I will take advantage of it if I want to. And it's a very beautiful body.

"But I will not allow any man out there to morph my pictures and put it on the cover, just to sell their magazine. They are gaining. I'm losing."

The magazine the Indian version of the British men's monthly FHM maintains that Malik consented to the nude picture, which appears on the front of the December issue.

The actor and the magazine are unable even to agree on her age, with the magazine saying she is 33 while she insists she is still in her 20s. They are suing each other for £3m in a bitter exchange of lawsuits. She revealed that she had even consulted a UK law firm about taking FHM to court in Britain.

Malik has been vilified at home, and argues that no-one is willing to hear her side of the story.

"I'm living my life on my own terms," she says. "If somebody does not agree with that, if somebody does not want to understand, it's pretty OK with me. I did not commit any crime in my life.

"If some mullah on the TV today says shoot the girl, they will shoot me. But the guy who removed my clothes using some technology, at least say something against him.

"This attitude, I'm sorry, is in the society. When they say they have become modern, grown up, that's wrong. They still live in the stone age."

In a country that is becoming more conservative, women are increasingly covering up in Pakistan, some by choice, others through intimidation. Nudity is unknown, even in Pakistan's "porn" films.

Malik said that she was wearing the bottom half of a bikini during the photo shoot and denied that she was even topless, as her hands were hiding her breasts.

"My choice was a bikini shoot. And I did a bikini shoot. They removed my bikini, later on. It was not a topless, and not a nude, shoot. It was a completely covered shoot," said Malik. "When the upper portion of the model is completely covered, by the hands, you can't call it topless."

Controversy has followed Malik throughout her career as a model and actor. She had an acrimonious love affair with the Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif, who was recently sentenced to jail in Britain for fixing a match.

She sent blood pressures racing in Pakistan by starring in an Indian reality TV show in which she appeared to be canoodling with an Indian actor. Undaunted, she appeared on a Pakistani television channel at the start of this year to debate with a mullah who accused her of "insulting Pakistan and Islam", only to tear him apart in a blistering, hour-long verbal assault, telling him there were bigger problems in Pakistan to worry about, including the rape of children in Islamic seminaries.

Even the current storm shows no sign of abating. On Monday an Indian fashion designer, Umair Zafar, claimed that Malik and FHM had planned the whole drama, including the lawsuits, for the sensational publicity.

Malik's only response was: "I don't know this guy [Zafar]: never met him, never heard of him."

Veena Malik's nude picture: A publicity stunt?

Finally the cat is out of the bag on the Veena Malik nude photo controversy. Mumbai-based fashion designer and stylist Umair Zafar, who has done several shoots with controversial photographer Vishal Saxena, spilled the beans on the Veena Malik-FHM cover shoot controversy.

Says Umair Zafar, "A few days before the FHM cover was out, photographer Vishal Saxena told me to be prepared for a big 'dhamaka".

According to Umair Zafar, Saxena told him that the entire thing between Veena Malik and FHM magazine was pre-planned. "Veena Malik did the shoot topless with her hands covering the upper part of her body. She was wearing a bikini panty below, which was later on morphed and removed electronically by photographer Vishal Saxena. All this was pre-decided and agreed upon by all concerned. In order to save face and avoid the repercussions that it could have - both in Pakistan and in India and yet avail of all the publicity Veena Malik and FHM magazine had pre-decided that Veena Malik would send a defamation notice to the magazine and the magazine in turn would then send her a counter-notice. Yeah sab mili bhagat hein,"said Umair Zafar, adding "The entire episode had been meticulously planned by Veena Malik, photographer Vishal Saxena and FHM magazine representatives. "Even the defamation notice was prepared in advance.""

"I have done many shoots with Vishal Saxena and have styled clothes for Sayali Bhagat, Nisha Kothari, etc. Vishal specialises in nude shoots and has done several such shoots with Sherlyn Chopra, Priya Soni, etc., the photos of which are freely available on the internet. Vishal, Veena and FHM magazine have planned this entire publicity stunt to further Veena Malik's prospects on the Reality Show on Imagine channel, Veena Malik ka Swayamvar," said Umair.

Umair Zafar said that photographer Vishal Saxena had told him on Facebook chat that Veena Malik was even ready to shoot completely in the buff if it got her the required publicity. "Vishal told me, she wanted a big blast. A huge dhamaka that would catapult her to the top of the charts, and make her a household name in India. She wants to be more popular than Kareena Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan put together. Bigg Boss last year gave her some mileage, but she was not able to get much out of that show. She wanted the big bucks and was ever ready to do anything for it," Umair said.

I have a beautiful body: Veena Malik

Pakistani actress Veena Malik has signed not one or two but five Bollywood films we hear. The 'Bigg Boss' seductress has fair share of fan base in India too.

Be it her intimacy with Ashmit Patel or shenanigans at the Bigg Boss house, Veena Malik has managed to stay in the limelight.

The starlet is currently in news owing to her 'Swayamvar' on tv. Apparently she has shown interest in getting married on tv through the 4th season of the wedding reality show. We asked Veena if its true. "I can't say anything about Swayamvar but I am looking forward to getting married in real life. I've been unlucky in love though" admits Veena. Ask about Ashmit and she says, "I am fond of him. He is a dear friend."

As far as safeguarding her 'sexy' image is concerned, Veena is quick to add, "I have a beautiful body and I have done some sexy photo shoots here in India but they are all esthetically shot and I won't call them semi-nude."

Looks like after Bigg Boss, Swayamvar seems to be next on Veena's agenda.
